One again, a media headline states the Republican position on the looming shutdown. But perhaps that's because my Democrats haven't been able to figure out what the hell their case is. Again. What a shambles. Messaging on this should have been going on for months.

I suspect that the Republicans are well aware that map-redrawing like this -- regardless of who does it -- just convinces more people that voting is pointless in a thoroughly rigged system. And that works to their advantage too.
