Battlepass culture has genuinely ruined games. Why else do you play competitive video games?! Because you enjoy them and you want to get better! Chess didn't have a fucking battlepass and it's the CHESS of boardgames. Just play a game because you like it you freaks! This was my rant for today.

Does anyone else pronounced cursed with extra umph on the E to give it more gravitas? I like to say it like I'm in a lovecraft story and advising the main character to not go to obviously eldritch infested town.

If I ever got to write an RPG I'd want to add a couple super hard to get romances with characters. Make them just as deep and emotional as any other. Then online when ONE person finds them they're like "What did you guys think of the Bob romance?!" And the entire internet just goes "The WHAT?!"

I'll never understand the mentality of people that play multiplayer games but don't know teamwork. Running off on your own is NEVER going to work out better than sticking with your team, even if your team is doing something you don't agree with.

It always amuses me how someone can come into my stream, see my beautiful PNG from a talented artist. My fantastic banner. And then try and sell me their low tier slop art. Look, I get the grind. We all have to sell ourselves to progress, but think at least a little. Know your audience.

Someone needs to tell all these people in BG3 photomode that most of them look like ass. I'm glad they're having fun. But they look like dogshit. I can be a jerk and still be happy for you. I'm simple.

r/introvertmemes is a depressing place. It's all well and good celebrating your love for being alone. I love being alone most the time. But a bunch of introverts sitting in a reddit going "People suck, I hate being bothered, leave me alone." Doesn't seem healthy to me.

Has anyone else noticed that Lo-Fi has gone from this cool new thing to just a generic, almost soulless, thing we put on in the background? Does anyone have actual specific favourite Lo-Fi tracks they like that don't just sound like every other track out there? I would love to hear them.

Someone explain to me why this Cyberpunk patch was hyped up for so long? I mean sure it's cool they did it but I held off starting a new playthrough because they were talking as if this patch would actually change something.

Can we stop deifying directors? (Or just celebrities in general.) If you're excited about James Gunn in the DCU that's fine. But Jesus H Christ why is every little thing that James Gunn does or says so fucking important? There are OTHER talented people involved in those movies.

Guys, I think I prefer the ending of Evangelion the series over the movie. I'm so sorry to those I may have disappointed.

Do you think for scenes where a small part character is lying and it's meant to be obvious, they deliberately hire bad actors? Surely that's a thing right?!

Something I think about from time to time was when a guy I went to Uni with who I thought was a great guy at the time, wanted to play chess with me while we were studying in a Cafe. I won. Everytime. Because I am the way I am I think he assumed it would be an easy win or at least even.

James Gunn's way of making movies feels like picking up a box of toys, dumping them onto a play mat and just saying "Cinema!" That's cool, people like it, that's fine. I'm not the target audience and I don't think I am for modern super hero movies. They're just "Look at all these references!"

There is rarely if ever any incentive to be a middle ground, neutral character in RPGs and this always disappoints me. It's understandable, I imagine it's way harder to write. But it's still a shame.

One of the realest lyrics I've heard in a long time is "No you're not the bad guy, you're just not the hero" from 'The Hero' by Dragonette and The Knocks. Such a tight lyric that explains the problem with the social media generation we've been raised in. We all think we're the main character.

Look. I am not going to say Pride is more or less important than Men's Mental Health Month. That's not my place. But what I WILL say is that things like this are what galvanise younger or struggling men against left leaning policies/groups. So many men feel abandoned by the system and others.
