The big 40 (weeks). Ransom did lots of water fetch, lots of beating up the herding ball, and lots of running around the property off leash. Also took a ride on his first non-inflatable boat.

For those that don’t know, Riley was the border collie we raised from a puppy, and Tay was his littermate that by a lucky happenstance we adopted a couple years later. They lived long and happy lives. If weren’t for them, we’d of never gotten our homestead back in 2016, or adopted Ransom either :’)

Ransom is starting to get his first off-leash outdoor time and is doing really well. He had a very happy weekend :3

TIL that we’ve technically been using the expression “drank the Kool-Aid” wrong, as actually a cheaper knockoff called “Flavor Aid” was actually used at Jonestown. My ring always knows when I’ve been working on the homestead. Until I “retire” at the end of this decade, I can usually only spend about every other weekend working on such, so it seems there’s never enough time. Being out in nature, working on a dream, listening to audiobooks & music is my heaven 💚

How he fit in his bed at 7 weeks vs 13 weeks. I imagine he’ll keep using it way beyond the point of not fitting. Like I expect to see him laying sideways on it or just his feet on it or some other odd position.

Ransom is now 20 lbs and 13 weeks old. He’s growing in leaps and bounds.
