Just finished this and mostly buy that elite schools teach ease and fortify status through meritocracy. Like every examination of American society, it struggles to deal with class and race at the same time. Not a flaw, just reinforcing one of his student's observations that it is all bullshit.

A random dude walked up to me today during my lunchtime walk and said I should get a haircut (I *do* have extremely long hair), but still being in teacher mode, I just said "No" and kept walking. I can firmly shut down a 15 year old, you are nothing to me, old man.

Autocorrect is telling me the word I was looking for was "ballfy" and I'm 99% certain that is not a word. It's funny because the character is using some made up onomatopoeia, and autocorrect is, like, "are you sure you didn't mean this *other* fake word?"

Okay, I *started* the Senpai Is an Otokonoko movie, so that is enough for today. I love this series so much, but oh my god does it make me anxious moment to moment.

I don't want to embarrass my students at work, but every time I see them behind the register at the grocery store I just want to scream. Look at you working a Saturday shift during Winter vacation! I'm so proud of you. But instead I just give them a little smile, because they know how I am.

This season of anime has been weird, because it was basically: -Complicated fish-girl -Cringe Fanfic writer -Cast Member from Disneyland I will miss every one of them, and I pray for every season 2.

I think I would've made a good cog to villainous machinations because I never leave a paper trail, and I don't even do illegal things that would warrant this obsessive behavior. If I were breaking minor school rules I would always do so in person, while sending emails saying the otherwise.

I don't want to dig too deep into the shounen yelling show, but the generations of spellcasters being unclear because it is up to artistic interpretation is...a really interesting worldbuilding idea. Like, that is one of those big history questions we ask.

Look, I'm sure that Nolan's adaptation of "The Odyssey" will be fun, but I highly doubt it will be as good as the original.
