Elbow is getting better; single arm cable rows were mostly pain free even at 50 lbs. Barbell RDLs were wack until I figured out my right hand grip strength is better when supinated. NGL, w/the stress of moving, I expected this scan to be abysmal BUT despite almost no change in total weight, my SMM is up and BF% continues to drop. I am definitely NOT cutting at the rate I’d hoped for and I doubt I’ll meet my goal by June but I haven’t failed either so I’m happy about that.

These 🐉 flags suck but filming showed me where I’m going wrong: Not pushing my hips at the top, nor straightening out as I come down. Too much spinal curvature makes it easier but less effective. The 10 sec hold at the end is new tho! Progression doesn’t always mean more reps. #fitafter40 #fitness

Mobility day, focusing on hips. Included some landmine press, kaiju lunges, and Pallof torso rotations. Mobility is an important part of my ongoing stroke recovery process. Hip mobility helps my walking gait and keeps me from tripping. I can’t ignore the little things. #strokesurvivor

NGL I thought March went poorly but the results speak otherwise. Everything is trending down especially PBF. The loss of muscle mass is sad but understandable due to attrition during a cut. I’ve revamped my diet to include more protein. Gonna lift heavy to suit while staying in deficit. Let’s go! 👍🏻🤘🏻

In #fitness, we rarely talk about the importance of #recovery. This is different from rest. Rest usually comes in the form of sleep or long periods of little to no movement of affected muscles. It’s necessary for muscles to heal and grow. But it’s different from recovery. 1/
