I'm having a blast with BUG Beans. I think 4x Bowmasters is justified in the current meta. Fair magic currently revolves around Bowmasters IMHO. Fun fact: the only 2024 / 2025 card I'm playing is the 2x Harbingers in the side. Sometimes you just don't need fancy new cards.

Another 4-1 with The Aetherspark – this time in a Legacy Jeskai Stoneblade Control shell. Felt amazing and only lost to Oops. I got to use all 3 modes of the Aetherspark, and got in some Tamiyo + Pre-war action as well. Video drops tonight at 10 Eastern.

The Aetherspark is one of the funnest card designs in a minute. Fair, flexible, legacy-playable. This league was a blast.

I just 4-1'd with UW Delverblade featuring the new The Aetherspark equipment planeswalker. This deck was a blast to play. I got to use the draw ability many times. Video goes live on my channel at 11 eastern tonight.

Back to back 4-1's with this UB Kaito Control list, losing only to Oops and UR Reanimator. Kaito is a plenty fast clock once you've established control, and I don't miss Murk. Miser's Daze is awesome. 2 League videos on my YouTube with another coming tonight.

Some quick thoughts on Kaito, Bane of Nightmares in Legacy: - he's an insane sideboard card for UB Tempo against control and especially lands - he's an OK build-around card for maindeck creature control decks (BUG control, UB value w/ strix and snap) - he's so fun to play with

The more I play with surveil lands the more I'm convinced that every non-stompy deck should play one. And the more I'm convinced that since these decks should play one, these decks should splash a 2nd color. Example: it's almost free to splash white in Stiflenought just for STP.

IMHO banning Frog and Nadu would make the meta much more diverse. There's no practical reason NOT to play 4 frog in any UB deck, and there's no reason NOT to play Nadu in any UG deck. I have so many brew ideas for BUG, Esper, and Bant. But then I'm like... damn.
