Shiny Alpha Excadrill at phase 5 and 21,154 total Pokemon seen! And it was a double alpha!

After 9109 encounters and 17 hours, I got my pink noodle and can continue my play-through!

After 4 phases and 31,312 encounters total (7,859 this phase), I’ve got my shiny Blitzle! More importantly, I got Bingo just in time for Legends ZA!!

Phase number 2 for Blitzle is another Patrat. Keep in mind Blitlze is a 60% encounter rate with Static, and Patrat is 10%.

Shiny Love Ball Heracross after 15624 encounters on phase 2!! 30279 total encounters for this hunt! I was jamming to Metallica when I found it, so the nickname is a shoutout to the legend James Hetfield.

Shiny Larvitar at 9364 in #SafariWeek2025 OT!!! This was my target for the year, and I ended with 13974 total encounters and 2-0 for shinies. This was also another square on my bingo board and another member of the Heart Gold DTQ!!

First shiny of #safariweek2025 is Quagsire! Also my first Great Marsh shiny. Plus we had a first ball catch!!

B2W2 Latios and Latias hunts on the train to Venice! My first time doing a location-themed hunt!

The hits keep coming! Shiny Shaymin in Platinum at 13018 encounters. I’ve been hunting this on and off for a couple years in both BDSP and Platinum!

Big photo dump incoming, but Gen 2 doesn’t do a nice champion summary screen. This took about 15 months: 12 full odds shines found and 72087 total encounters (6007/shiny). Here is the final squad with an honorable mention to Crobat who was on the team until I got Dragonite. (1/2)

Well, after 2 days of free to play, I’m fairly happy with my pulls and wonder picks. I was even able to make a good Pikachu EX deck.

I’ve been really enjoying filling these Pokedexes for the shiny Meloetta. The goals with shiny hunting take so long to complete, that sometimes I forget just how fun the collecting aspect of Pokemon is and why I was drawn to the series in the first place.
