Haptera Press, run by @algaeross.bsky.social, aims to be a home for trans-authored stories with a special interest in historical settings that contextualize our past, present and future. Initially I aim to publish digital zines, but my hope is to eventually be able to offer limited print runs.

"Haptera" is the plural term for a complex tangle of roots that anchor algal plants like kelp and lichen to the substrates they grow in. Also known as a "holdfast."
