Here's a recap of classes today since I missed the last one Still... just learning colors. And this week's project isn't really as fun as the previous projects cuz the assignment is to just play around with color, lights and darks overlapping, and how color interacts with other color.

I spent the last couple hours doodling. You know, I really want to make a comic someday, I think I said that before in the past, but I've never felt particularly attached to any of my comic ideas. It's the same for my art style really. I always default to this really simple style and I don't like it

Boring update time The interview went well, I guess I don't have the job yet, usually I'm just brought on but they wanna see my skills as an animator so they're having me do an animation test Am I possibly being used to do free work at the promise of money? Maybe, but I don't care

I applied to another animation job, and I potentially got accepted. I talk to the people I applied to tomorrow. If I do get accepted that means I'll have two ongoing jobs, one I started last month and then this one.

In case anyone was curious, I haven't heard anything back about the award payment yet. Today marks about a week since I joined that Dandy World group though. They did their weekly drawing thing and I participated in it for the second time.

So the big question this weekend is... when the heck am I gonna get my 200 dollars, because they didn't give it at the ceremony and now I'm just wondering if I have to wait for an email or something

I mostly just need/want to relax right now. I can feel a mild headache coming on and I just want to get into my normal routine again. Probably playing a game or drawing or whatever. I would check how I appeared on stage but the online version of the event was only on Zoom

The ceremony for the gallery was tonight. I'm gonna be honest, I was silently hoping I wouldn't win anything just because I really didn't want to go up on stage, but, I surprisingly did win for something I submitted. I'm more surprised then proud at the moment, honestly.

Damn I've been so busy I typed a post yesterday about how my class went but I fell asleep before I could send it I'm also already a day behind on animatictober because I don't even know what song to pick for it

So the weekend went really good. I didn't talk much about the people I've been playing with but they're all my age, and we all just play on a private server. A lot of them are artists, too. So they do community drawing every week and it's a lot of fun. There's even a game dev guy making his own game

I ended up playing flavor frenzy with some friends And received sum storyboards for the film I'm making by one of the artists I could probably start putting together the animatic now, I was doing that a few days ago but the video editor decided to paywall me so I have to find one that won't do that

I played some Dandy's World with people today, it was fun, now I'm not sure if I should keep playing it or watch Haunted Hotel... kinda wanna keep playing Dandy's World this week so I can unlock everything

5am post (my time), yes I'm still awake I watched The indie animated movie The Worlds Divide and it was pretty good I've also decided I'm gonna participate in this thing called Animatictober someone over on Instagram made. Maybe if I make a nice looking animatic I won't be a nobody artist anymore

Oh I forgot to mention. They are not showing the film I suggested at film club. Which is lame. It's gonna be a completely unrelated live action movie. Guess I'll just have to wait until October to see if they'll use my suggestion at all

In unrelated news... I just found out an hour ago Surf's Up is getting a TV series in the current year, which is insane

Soo in school were still doing color stuff. This time the project is for three variants of an image, the normal colors you can see, with lighting (like making a day scene night) and the unrealistic version, so any color goes, orr you make it a mood thing with just one color

Last night I animated for about two hours, now I'm off to school in a few minutes Probably gonna be starting a new assignment... I ended up being really art focused yesterday, I did 2 drawings and also filled up a doodle page, I don't usually do doodle pages but I felt like making one

I wish my parents would stop telling me to do every little thing in my life as if I wasn't already going to do that thing Maybe I'm spiteful but if I'm told to do something like that I just delay doing it, but that doesn't stop them from repeatedly telling me what to do until they get what they want

The dream I had tonight, if you can even call it that, was a group activity with a bunch of strangers where we were all just following one person for some reason, and they jumped off a cliff, so everyone followed and we plummeted into an ocean below but then surfaced. And I was mad for some reason

I guess I didn't do a whole lot last night because... I immediately fell asleep I didn't feel the best this morning, I feel better now but I think I might be a little bit sick Still though, I went to drop off my stuff for the gallery, I had to get help from a staff and they showed me where to go

The theater experience was great, but I can't say anything about it cuz yknow, legally binding contract But after I saw the thing I went home, I basically got everything ready for the gallery now and I did some work on my personal film Tomorrow I'm dropping everything off at the gallery

So I went on a little mini adventure today. Starting with getting the flu shot and a different shot I needed. Then was gonna have my art printed but they didnt have the right size, and after that i got frames for my art at the craft store.

Also yeah I didn't sleep tonight. I stayed up all night doodling and experimenting with new brushes in clip studio paint

I guess I got accepted into the gallery thing I submitted for. Which is nice but now I have to buy mounts and print the digital artwork before the end of the week and give my stuff to them

I almost forgot to mention the fun thing I did after class, I was in a zoom meeting for about an hour with someone in the animation industry giving advice and what not, I joined a bit late but it was still cool

Today's class, I uh, I don't even remember what were supposed to be learning, like contrasting colors? Which is basically what I did in my last piece but I guess I'm doing it again. It's supposed to be an abstract painting of something real, so I once again am using that squirrel photo

Here's a random late night story, abput the reason I think I'm so patient. Once upon a time there was a kid who wanted nothing more than to run away from home and be free, so they did. The first time they did, they hid behind a brick wall. But, eventually they got bored and returned home.

I don't even like Labubu's that much but I love the creators art so yes I probably will get the art book that's releasing in October. I'm also thinking about getting that The Summoning graphic novel but not sure
