Sometimes what we’ve come to know & expect is changed by a surprise. Eg on my morning walk I was surprised to see a couple of jacaranda trees in my neighbourhood still flowering (SE Qld). It’s not common for January & I haven’t seen any on campus at UQ flowering or along Maiwar.

It’s possible to witness & experience horror & trauma in the world, along with beauty & joy at the same time. Eg seeing this magnificent flame free & walking over to it to admire it more, gave me joy. May you have some beauty & joy in your day today, even a little.🌿👋🏽😀 (no filter)
