Friend decided to replay his childhood RPG, Growlanser: Heritage of War, so I got to watch it streamed. Very dry and bloated game, with some interesting spots here and there. It's got tons of voice-acting and and an unique RTS spin to the combat, but I can't see myself ever playing it. #blutoid

Decided to pick up the Horizon Forbidden West cookbook as well to complement my Ys 8 one. Framing it as the journal of an Oseram cook learning about the cultures of the tribes was a great idea. Starting to think themed cookbooks is just the best kind of gaming paraphernalia. #blutoid

Moving on from Ys 1 & 2, my next video project is another shortform JRPG from the late 1980s. Many would reduce Sweet Home to mere trivia, but I find it a pretty outstanding game in its own right. Where else can you find dogs with an elemental weakness to mallets? #blutoid

The last post made me realize how much I love my PSP, so I managed to give Duodecim Prologus and the Locoroco holiday demos a whirl. The battery is shot, but I CAN play carefully with the cable. It's amazing how light it is now, but it still gives me hand cramps sadly, so I have to let go #blutoid

The Tower of Sysiphus was good fun. Runs are shorter, so you get good guns faster and spend less time on traversal. Not much variety though, but it is a score attack mode. And yet again, I see what the story wants to do, but there's just something missing to make it stick. #Blutoid

I'm a bit mixed on Returnal. The core gameplay is like an awesome continuation of Rift Apart, but the story just doesn't hit and needing to backtrack and collect randomized doodads for the true ending sucked shit. Gonna hit up the DLC tower see what it has to offer. #Blutoid

One more Witcher novel in the bag! I read it very sporadically, so I don't remember all of it, but the highlight is going through Ciri's exploits of trying to find her place on the "Princess/Witcher/Sorceress" spectrum. Also showcases how awful the setting is. It's kind of exhausting. #Blutoid

I have accomplished what amounts to 200% completion in Nightreign by helping a friend do all the stuff too. Been a great time, but I really need to lay off the game unless they release a new boss variant. We ended the session on an undeserved win against Depth 2 ED Caligo, which felt great #Blutoid

I've been looking forward to the Fatal Frame 2 remake, but the PS5 version is a dud. It's inexplicably 30 FPS-locked and the demo crashed on me. Swapping to PC made all the difference, but it's no longer a priority. At least they managed to banish the British out of the previous version. #Blutoid
