I messed around with Onimusha 1 using some old saves to test my replacement copy for a spell. Wow is that ending dogshit. You beat the final boss, see a cutscene of the cool Onimusha transformation (YOU DON'T GET TO USE) and then the game hard cuts as Nobunaga looms over you. Asinine. #blutoid

Didn't get a chance to collect my thoughts on the Nocturne remaster until now. Replaying the game was GREAT. Manual skill selection combined with dipping into Merciful for the lategame grind let me break the game open. Skipped so many second phases on accident, it was hilarious. #blutoid

You can get some fun books if you know where to look. I'm probably keeping the Persona cookbook for myself, but the bottom 2 are gifts. Maid To Skate is only 5 chapters long, but it's an amazing read. You can just feel the unending joy the aesthetic brings the author. #blutoid

I actually beat Vampire Survivors. That feels weird to say. It remains a premium time waster, but I got seriously lost in the progression systems, I wasn't even aware it was building to a final boss. It's just stuff upon stuff and all the DLC doesn't help. #blutoid

Can confirm that the Mortal Shell II beta demo is not an abysmal turd, thus completely upending my expectations. They improved literally every single thing from the first game to such a degree that this is now a Souls-like I can recommend to people. You love to see it. #blutoid

Here's an easter egg in the new Lego Batman that I think all of you will REALLY appreciate. It's so good, I had to make a video.

Rygar was a bizarre one. It's an action-adventure game where every single aspect (plot, platforming, puzzles, punching, perusing) is undercooked. I can see the vision and I do like the vibe, but this just isn't finished. Bosses especially, they feel ripped out of a beta. #blutoid

Gave the Star Fox demo a whirl and it feels like a movie adaptation, not unlike Ratchet & Clank 2016. It's a slick upgrade, but the charge shot requiring an extra button press and normal shots requiring mashing makes this a complete non-starter. Kingdom Hearts 2 did it better. #blutoid

Once again, they try to hide the good stuff in the Japanese Direct. A shame they weren't brave enough to keep Sly Cooper in it, but maybe Bamco will localize the goddamn skits now. #blutoid

Managed to snag a near-pristine copy of Shinobi. There is sadly no english text in the manual, but the NTSC manual seems superior anyway. This is one of those games that has intrigued me for a while, having released after DMC1 but before 3d Ninja Gaiden. #blutoid

And now it's finished! Here is my analytical deep-dive on Sweet Home and the movie it's based on. It goes through all the bits and bobs that stand as the foundation of the Survival horror genre and Resident Evil as a whole. It's a terrific Famicom game well worth remembering. #blutoid #capcom
