This is a POV of my beers in the fridge. When Friday arvo rolls around, I make the tough decision of which one to have… first.

Here’s a project I work on every month for my main client. I get a list of their 10 most valuable pages and refresh some of the content. Sometimes it’s updating information, such as price changes or new products. Other times, it’s making something sound more interesting.

Here’s a POV of how my Monday mornings normally start. Me just staring at a blank page. Then the coffee starts to kick in and words like these start to come out. By lunch time I’m on a bit of a roll.

It’s probably not the best idea to start the evening with a triple IPA. Ah, screw it. It’s been a big week. I knocked out three more articles for my new client. The feedback continues to be great.

Working out the to-do list in my head. I’ve got to update a couple of tech articles. The company has asked to shuffle the order of some “best of” lists and update the content.

Downloading another video editing project today. I’ve got a few I’m working through over the next couple of weeks as the year winds down.

It’s falling into place. Not my work life. I’m still on the hunt for some content writing, content editing, or video editing after this three-month project wraps up. The feedback has been excellent. No revisions required yet, which is always a bonus.

No time for a clever pose this morning. Today I’m working on an article for my new client. The feedback for the first two has been excellent. No changes required, so it’s full steam ahead.

Taking a moment to stop and smell the coffee. That’s how that saying goes, right? I need the extra second because it’s going to be a big week. I’ll continue working on a project with a new client, aiming to complete three articles by the end of the week.

Thumbs up for another week. It’s been a big one. I started a new project, delivering the first article today. It’s Thanksgiving in the US, so I don’t expect feedback until early next week.

I’ve signed a new contract I’ve been waiting (hoping) this one would come to fruition. A couple of months ago, someone from America reached out wanting an Australian content writer for a local project. My agreement helped them secure a contract with their client

Taking a second to sip my coffee, soak up some sun, and think about what I achieved over the weekend. Bad weather canceled my morning walks on Saturday and Sunday, but I stayed productive and put together a couple of reels from podcasts I listen to. I’ll share them during the week.

Wrapping up the week with a fresh beer. This one comes from Goodland Brewing Co. They give me One Drop vibes with their fruit-packed beverages that explode with incredible flavours. One sip tastes like lychees, the next is bursting with strawberries. I swear I’m not imagining it because of the ABV.

I wrapped up an AI editing project yesterday, and today, I start a brand new one.

What’s this week going to bring? I’m kicking Monday off with a little bit of content strategy work. I’ll be making some recommendations on how to improve search rankings for a few articles. Some are already in the number one spot, so the focus is on keeping them there.

Just wrapped up another week. I updated a bunch of Black Friday and Cyber Monday pages in preparation for the big sales event, wrote a new article which hasn’t happened in a while, and finished up another wedding video.

Working unplugged this morning. A change of scenery is always nice. It sparks new ideas and gets me out of my comfort zone. I need it today as I’m not editing any AI articles. I’m actually writing an article from scratch. The old school way.

Here’s a pro tip from someone who’s been editing a ton of AI generated articles. Watch for identical descriptions for jargon terms.

The website transfer is complete and pwf services has returned to WordPress. The look is the same, but I’ve added some extra components. My portfolio now includes published work - credited and uncredited. It was fun looking back at things I’ve worked on over the past five years.

Watching the last few files download so I can start my next video editing project. It’s been another solid week. I finished up a wedding video and edited another batch of AI articles. I also applied for some more gigs that went up during the week.

Back at it again. Here I am starting with some AI editing. I’m looking for ways to improve the writing and make it sound more interesting. I’ll also check the facts, since the AI seems to get the data wrong and make up source websites that don’t exist.

Limbering up for another week. I’ve got more AI articles to edit, humanise, and make sound natural. I’ve found the most important thing to look out for is repeated phrases, especially when they’re covering the same subject matter.

A pretty good end to the week. I’ve made a lot of great new connections this week, which I’m looking forward to learning from while also hoping it may lead to new opportunities. I smashed out some more AI edits, and I feel my editing skills are getting stronger with each article.

One of the things I like about this platform is making new connections. Over the past week, I’ve reached out to a few new people who were asking for writing and video editing help. I had a couple of good chats, which will hopefully lead to something. If it doesn’t, then it’s not meant to be.

It’s raining this morning. I don’t go for my morning walk when it’s wet like this, and I usually skip my workout. Let’s call it a rest day.

Which job should I start the day with? In the left corner we have one of the several AI articles that needs a ton of editing. I have a time limit on each one and an hour cap for the day. I could start with this, smash through a bunch, and then move on to the wedding edit.

Another week done and dusted. I finished a wedding video edit and started another one. I lost count of how many AI articles I edited.

What do I mean when I call myself the easiest freelancer you’ll work with? I could list dozens of reasons. One is that I just get on with the job.

Trying to figure out where to start today? Yes, this is my thinking face. I’ve just replied to a couple of people who reached out about working together. I need to put the final touches on the wedding video I’m working on. I’ll also need to prep the next one.

It’s not even 9 am and it feels like a two coffee day. I’ll need the extra caffeine because there's a lot to do this week. I’m finishing a wedding video project I started last week. All that's left is a 60-second reel. I’ll start the next wedding video after that.

Finishing the week with some video editing. Some of my video editing work comes from wedding videographers. Most of the projects come from some locals. Every now and then, a company in the US and a couple in Canada get in touch when they need some extra help.

I saw a post this morning from a content editor who is also updating AI articles. It’s what I’m doing these days as well.

1001. 1002. I’m joking. My back is to the camera because I look like that kid who turned into a blueberry in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I’m pretty sure I’ve talked about progress over perfection before. By progress, I don’t necessarily mean constant improvement. Sometimes it’s learning a lesson after taking a wrong turn or making a mistake.

It’s 7am in Wollongong on a Monday. I’m walking through the Botanic Gardens like I normally do in the morning. I’m drinking coffee and thinking about what I need to do today.

This week was a bit of a rollercoaster, and nothing like the one the Red Hot Chili Peppers sing about. It started off well.

I’m kicking off a new editing project today. In short, the company is using AI to do page updates and they need someone to review the articles to make sure they sound human and the facts are correct.

Damn, that sun is bright today. I could turn this into something like “the future looks bright” or “seeing the light at the end of the tunnel,” or something equally cringey. But let’s just get into what I’ve got going on today.

Woot! I just wrapped up a project. I worked with a Sydney-based digital marketing agency that needed some help creating landing pages and blog posts for a construction equipment hire company.

Today is a delivery day. Here I’m doing my final watch-through of a wedding edit. I’m just making sure everything is framed correctly, shots are cut to the beat, and I haven’t missed anything.

This week was one of those weeks. You know what I mean, right? It wasn’t amazing. It wasn’t terrible. It was just somewhere in the middle. The first sip of this beer is helping.

I’m always keeping my eyes peeled for content writing, content editing, and video editing gigs. Not because I’m unhappy with the people I’m working with now.

Staring out the window while the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and the kids on school holidays are screaming at the top of their lungs for no good reason whatsoever. Focus Paul. Focus.

My website renewal is coming up and I’ve made the decision to switch from Squarespace back to WordPress, mostly for financial reasons. Because I’m terrible at archiving content, I have about six weeks to save all my assets so that it’s easy to recreate the website on a new platform.

Getting some fresh air and coffee before I start the day. It’s going to be a big week. I’m finally forcing myself to get some of the ideas out of my head onto virtual paper.

It’s already Friday? This week has flown by, especially with new work coming in mid-week. I just finished off another AI edit, which required a complete overhaul. The good news is it’s done. I’ve also started putting together a wedding film for one of my regular clients.

AI edits are finished. A few people reached out and asked what I actually mean when referring to this project. What I’m doing is editing the first draft of an article, something I’ve done for a lot of companies I’ve worked with. The only difference is that the AI first draft needs a heavier edit.
