Tonight while playing in SL, I was given a silly turkey hat by a regular at this club and when I said Thank you, in broken English she replies "sometimes you need silly to keep from crying" and that hit me so deep. This will live rent free in my head now, and maybe yours too.

Tonight I learned one of my Secondlife friends passed away from a quick fight with cancer. I'm glad he didn't suffer long but I will greatly miss him. I'm absolutely gutted. With his passing I have no more friends in SL. They've all passed away or left entirely.. I'll miss you Dj Addy Babii.

Do you see someone wearing a Classic Avatar instead of mesh and automatically think that person must think Mesh avatars are junk and they hate them? Someone claimed this to be a normal thought, but I never had such a thought. I don't even put much thought into what people are even wearing.

Im tired of being treated like scum because I prefer the classic body to mesh bodies. I own mesh bodies and use them for extremely rare purposes were I need them, but I -DO NOT- like them and I do not have to wear them if I do not want to, because guess what?

I decided to continue to support the club but I will no longer support that specific Dj's music sets. The club has been nothing but good to me and has gone above and beyond for me on many occasions. They cannot really control what the Dj plays so I'll just avoid attending their sets going forward.

I'm really disappointed to have found out that my most favorite club in all of SL has and allows a DJ to use AI generated music. It's disgusting, its tacky, it doesnt even sound good. I can hear all the AI auto tune trying to make this stolen voice sound natural as (1/3)

It's been a few years since I was last within the SL communities, so aside from Bluesky and Facebook, what are some other social medias that have a decent Secondlife user presence on it? I remember Flickr being a good place and Plurk. lol

I think one of the most frustrating things about coming back to SL was finding out they upped the cost to upload textures. "HD" textures now cost 40Ls which is insane to me as a small creator. I use to be able to upload 10 textures for 100Ls now its 400. Makes trying to get out new products harder.

#SecondLife Because some of yall could benefit from this read. These things are exactly why I charge so much for my custom texture work and so much for the commercial kits in my store. Those commercial ones pay for all the virtual upkeep of the shop 100%
