Episode recap podcast about the 1985-89 show The Equalizer.
Tom Noonan. A great character actor, a nuanced and tortured performance in the season 4 gun control episode, Making a Martyr, 1989. RIP

My most tedious belief is that this is what makes TV a distinct art form from cinema, and the absence of it is why streaming is not 'proper' television.

Home Alone fans! Did you know that FIVE actors from the holiday classic Home Alone were guest stars on The Equalizer? Including Macaulay Culkin almost two years before Home Alone came out. Check them out, and Merry Christmas!

“Four of them sitting at the table have been in the Equalizer” I say to my family while watching Christmas Vacation, earning their admiration and respect.

I'm sorry, but Bluesky needs a LOT more weirdos talking about classic TV, older game shows, and network continuity/graphics from the 1970s to the mid-1990s. I know there's like seven of us, and I already follow those folks.

I am begging for a Hollywood movie or TV writer to make something that features realistic 'artificial intelligence'

A podcast can be literally anything. It's just sound. The big ones from big media orgs are all shit, the "will this do?" from celebrities and so forth are lazy. But there are people out there doing really good work in the medium.

In 1989, five years before Pulp Fiction, Ving Rhames guest-starred on the final episode of The Equalizer. His character, Luther "Million" Paxton, works remarkably well as a backstory for Marsellus Wallace.

“Robert McCall, metaphor for political action: we may not be able to change the world, but crushing one shit after another could make it more breathable.”
