Finished reading my final book of the year. 127 books. That’s down from the previous 2 years. But honestly, I probably read Heated Rivalry and The Long Game 2 dozen times each! 🤣🤣🤣 📚💙

My review of THE MISTLETOE MURDER AND OTHER STORIES by P.D. James is on IG/SG. This collection of 4 short stories features Adam Dalgliesh in 2 of them. One of the others features a voyeur who may be a witness to a murder but is reluctant to come forward. This ending surprised me the most. ⚡️📚💙

My feed on Christmas Eve: Mark Cuban telling us how awful BlueSky is, how horrible the people are who use BlueSky, and how stupid the economists are about universal healthcare. BlueSky telling me how many 10,000’s of thousands of people registered for BlueSky today. A play by play of Die Hard.

It’s wild how Mark Cuban shows up on BlueSky to post about his drug company, insist there is no way for the US to have universal healthcare, bitch about BlueSky users, complain that Twitter is better than BlueSky, & argue that billionaires have the best solutions. And it’s just rinse-lather-repeat.

I see lots of posts about “Muppet Christmas Carol” but my favorite is “Emmit Otter’s Jugband Christmas.” It’s a retelling of O. Henry’s “Gift of the Magi.” It’s delightfully sweet & available on YouTube. (We saw a theater production of it that was phenomenal & should have become a Christmas staple!)

Just 2 years ago the NHL attempted to ban “pride tape” on sticks. Now the hottest show on tv is a gay hockey romance adapted from a MM romance novel by Rachel Reid. Clips from the show are played at stadiums. Episodes are shown at sports bars. Books matter. Art matters. Representation matters. 🌶️📚💙
