Congratulations to Emery Lehman for winning a silver medal in the men’s team pursuit for the USA. Four Olympics & 2 medals. Retirement awaits, but you’ve made the last decades so much fun for us fans. You may race middle position but you’ve been the leader of this group and revolutionized the race!

Team Pursuit Update: US men won their match and will skate in the gold/silver round. US women lost their match up and will skate for the bronze. Next skates in just over an hour. (This time between the 2 races is known as the puke and rally time.)

UPDATE: Jutta Leerdam won a gold and a silver medal at the Olympics in the 1000M and 500M speed skating events. But she’s “Jake Paul’s fiancée,” according to an international headline.

It’s record high temps here, and I’ve washed and hung out bedding from pillows to mattress pads to bedspreads, washed windows, and gone for a walk. These days of cold weather relief are cherished because frigid temps will be back. What joy to be able to step outside in sandals and sun on my face.
