My friend Kevin died last week. Well, his body did. His brain succumbed two months prior. On the 15th of February, Kevin had a heart attack while at the gym. He was resuscitated but never regained consciousness. A couple weeks later he was moved to a long-term care facility while family and friends

Fun but a bit frustrating: it's, by FAR, the loosest-fitting wooden puzzle I've ever worked. Many pieces "fit" in "wrong" places & you don't know until you have a problem somewhere else. Also more slightly damaged pieces than other wooden ones. Still, love the novelty. #StarTrek

I agreed to #teach 3rd semester #calculus-based #physics (vibrations, waves, sound, optics, special relativity, quantum mechanics, & atomic + nuclear physics) in the spring. We do some of it in #astronomy courses, but it's been ~20 years since I've formally taught the rest. 😂😳
