600 days that I've had a meditation session—and that's just the ones that used this timer app. I'm really surprised how much I've practiced. It doesn't feel like a lot. Even a very small habit can compound over time. If there's something you've wanted to do, the only thing you need to do is start.

I don't know if I've been doing 'enough' as a composer lately, and it feels tough and discouraging. So I'll make a list today of everything I've tried in the last month. Long or short, it'll be a more accurate picture than my gut feelings. What's something you do to conquer this feeling?

I get stuck a lot when I compose. When there's no obvious continuation, I need to make sense of the music I've written in order to see the way forward. Find the hidden clue. Today I decided to annotate things. Not what I want the music to do, just what the idea feels like at that moment. It helped.

Berlin Woodwinds sound *wonderful,* but it's weird they don't have a unified set of articulations. Why is Clarinet 2 missing some sustains that everyone else has? Why is its marcato *only* available as a single-art patch, when everyone else can load it into their multi? Setup is weird.
