No matter how much we hear it inside our heads, words don't fully take their full meaning, power, and shape until they are said out loud. Sometimes, hearing it in your voice can solidify their meaning. Other times, they can cast necessary doubt on your feelings. Both are necessary.

I sat with a friend today and actively listened to them vent. Our whole conversation isn't something I'd ever share, but they did use a phrasing that hit me very clearly. "I just needed to say it out loud, so I could hear myself saying it."

How you treat these people tells me all I need to know about how you view others. I am one of these people. And, honestly, I don't give a fuck if you make $0 or in the billions... You bleed red, and your elbows can be turned inside-out. I can show you if you'd like. Basic Respect & Kindness are free
