The archives from Yale's collaborative excavations at Dura-Europos and Gerasa have long been available on JSTOR, but finally there is a link to these collections on the Yale University Art Gallery website. This is all part of ongoing efforts to make our collections and archives widely accessible.

The remains of the famous Roman legionary shield uncovered at Dura-Europos (left), a city in Mesopotamia, alongside a reconstruction (right). Known as the “Dura shield,” it is celebrated as one of the most significant roman army discoveries, being the only surviving example of its kind.
