There's an interesting little story here about how politics works along with my own pet theory for Craig's vote. Craig votes against an amendment allowing SNAP to cover rotisserie chickens. Gripes and complaints about her lefty credentials ensue. Why would she do it, it's such an obvious win, etc.

Re the other QTs of this bemoaning the unresponsiveness of MPD: v. early on in the ICE surge here there was an informal agreement/understanding that MPD wasn't going to show up for events one might normally expect them at. If you're confused why an anonymous-ish account is nitpicking something you said it's mostly because I think the left is regressing in it's ability to engage critically and honestly with ideas, especially oppositional ideas.

Since MPLS Bluesky periodically rants about how bad the sidewalks are for accessibility purposes, I wanted to note that I walked the dogs, ran, walked the dogs again, then walked to the store for ~8 total miles today & pretty much every foot of it was completely manageable. Guess the system works?
