Fritillaria meleagris flower numbers down on Iffley Meadows, Oxford, with a very dry spring and warm sunny days. Also flower timing has narrowed between dryer northern and moist southern section

It’s only early April but already the late flowering Fritillaria are blooming. Here is Fritillaria pallidiflora from a Kazakhstan collection.
