Here's a great example of how a collage can attract an audience. This popped up in my feed and caught my eye. The story kept its promise of wild girls and luscious prose

I'm planning to self publish a collection of my short stories but I'm very concerned by my UK government's proposal to allow AI to use even copyrighted materials for training. Anyone able to point me to advice over this? I don't know if publishing by KDP, for example, means my writing is open to AI.

Today, the UK government announced a proposal to change copyright law - for the benefit of AI companies - that would cause huge, irreversible harm to creators. More info below, but most importantly here's what you can do (wherever you live): 1. Email your MP. Template letter in 𧡠π 1/10

Teapots or blankets? In the summer I started thinking about a children's story in which a teapot flies round the world dispensing help and tea. But maybe a teapot means more to an adult than a child? Should I write about a flying blanket instead? A nice, fluffy one.

So I've finished a first draft novelette about someone spending lockdown in a haunted smallholding and reconnecting with her own creativity. No idea what to do with it next! I've written something I want to read rather than something that fits with what I do read.
