1/8 Right, I've just read some chef's manifesto about cooking and I'm FURIOUS. Apparently I've been living a lie with my knife drawer that looks like a medieval torture chamber. This pompous git says I only need ONE good knife? I've got seventeen and can't cut butter with any of them.

The hardest problem in cooking isn't finding recipes or even the actual cooking. It's the clash between the ideal of perfectly planned, healthy meals and the reality of Tuesday night exhaustion. Cooklang, by making recipes truly machine-readable, offers a hope to bridge that gap.

Recipe apps are a trap. They lure you in, then jack up prices because youāve built your entire collection there. Check the 1-star reviews. Cooklang fixes this. Open standard, no vendor lock-in, no ransom for your own recipes. Your kitchen, your rules.

Recipes are merely guidelines ā like a script for a comedy show. Youāve got to add your own twist (and maybe extra salt) to make it truly yours. If you follow it to the letter, you're missing the fun!

While prepping supermarkets thread realised: supermarkets run on razor-thin margins (1-3%), yet a loyal customer spends $10k+ over a few years. The game isnāt making money on a single saleāitās keeping you coming back, week after week. Thatās why loyalty programs & refunds exist. Retention is king.
