We read the 10 Commandments in the parsha last week that reminded us to consider "the stranger" when we keep Shabbos & we say it in kiddish! So, yes we should daven, have nice meals, sing, read, rest, but to keep Shabbos we MUST think morally about those who are the most vulnerable in our society!

He had a job interview yesterday and thankfully our humanitarian bus showed up just in time to offer some fresh clothes so he could look polished & have his best shot at getting off the streets and into a job & housing.

Today I stood with a group of good people showing up for immigrants, because our history teaches us what happens when people are dehumanized and borders are used as weapons. We rallied to say that safety, dignity, and belonging are human rights—not privileges.

Such a unique joy to walk my dogs before & after work each day! If you're considering your first dog, I'd highly recommend adopting from a shelter. You rescue them and then they'll rescue you!

As workplace deaths from heat increase, OSHA will now debate the future of the first federal rules to protect workers from extreme heat. We can't let this administration (and the businesses pushing it) to win out over workers who desperately need protections from very dangerous work conditions.

10 years!! Today marks 10 years since the miracle of my kidney donation!! I remain so grateful to my wife Shoshana who supported me so much (& who also donated her kidney last year!), to my amazing surgeon (Dr. Chin pictured here), & to the Ribbono Shel Olam!!

Out of the Ashes Came Light! We just received a Torah! But not just any Torah but one saved from the ashes in Romania where it was desecrated by the Nazis & it was in terrible shape. It was flown to Israel and refurbished and then brought to the States & last night it was flown here to the desert.

"Police Respond to Attack at a Colorado Event Raising Awareness of Israeli Hostages" Thinking of my friends in Colorado today after another violent terror attack against Jews who were raising awareness of the plight of Israeli hostages held in the tunnels of Gaza. Praying for peace & solidarity!

Wishing comfort to the mourners on this tragic, vile act of antisemitic terror. And wishing strength to fellow Jews, in DC & around the world, who are feeling increasingly less safe tonight.

Just gave my presentation at this international animal advocacy conference & feeling so good about it! So inspiring to be with hundreds of compassionate global leaders who are committing their lives to reducing suffering!

Our humanitarian bus just pulled up to a man who didn't have any socks & shoes. He told us he just walked miles & his feet were so sore & he said he was in desperate need of shoes. We gave him shoes and emotionally he said: "This is just the best thing that has happened to me this year!"

A pregnant Jewish woman (Tze’ela Gez) was just murdered in a terror attack, while on her way to deliver her baby. Wishing her family so much comfort & praying for the survival of her baby who is in critical condition! Also praying for all remaining hostages & for peace for all!

Every day, my great colleague Mike is out in the streets driving one of our "Let's Be Better Humans" buses. Our goal is to find those people that no one can find. To see those who no one can see. To hear those that no one can hear. Thank you Mike for all that you do each day!!
