Tried giving my piano away today. Mom and her daughter came to try it out. Told mom the piano has low mileage and a clean title and fortunately the joke landed 😂 (unfortunately unsure if they can take the piano bc it might be too big)

Hello Rubyist. Working hard all day is great, but maybe it's time to cool down. New in RubyGems/Bundler 4.0.13:

Cool down before you install: give new gems a few days to be vetted
Most supply-chain attacks against RubyGems exploit a narrow window: an account is compromised, a malicious version ships, and any bundle install in the minutes that follow resolves straight to it. ...

After weeks of work, Ruby’s master documentation now displays rbs signatures! We will release this feature in RDoc 8.0 soon as well. So any projects using rbs (inline or .rbs files) can benefit from it too. Check it on

While I was in Japan my mother in law (MIL) was asking our 番地, and I'd never heard this word before so my mind went in to overdrive and I thought "this must mean address" so I asked "住所?" and she was like "はい、番地" and I was still unsure if it's the same thing (it is)

If you haven't upgraded yet, Ruby 4.0's garbage collection is generally much faster than 3.4. This patch release fixes the one area there had previously been a notable regression (allocating/freeing Classes).
