So excited by this tease! When I first saw the trailer in the Direct, I was like, “wait, is that really Fi’s theme?” It’s such a tiny segment of that music that I wasn’t sure, but viewing a second time, it’s definitely there. There’s no way they would just slip that in if it wasn’t significant!

I just feel like there's a lot of people out there who don't know the difference between "this isn't for me, but cool for people that are interested," and "This Direct sucks because there's no games at all". I've been seeing it a lot everywhere, including here.

So most of the polls (in the linked article) show his approval rating hovering around 40%. Yes that’s down from before, but still seems absurdly high to me, and some polls are showing above 50%. Wtf is wrong with people, his approval rating should be below 20!

I am SO much more excited for this game after that Direct! Back when we saw the Treehouse Live footage, it looked fun, but I was like “is it all just destroying the environment and collecting gold and bananas?” But the Direct showed us there’s way more to this game than we realized!

This was a surprise! We knew young Pauline would be in the game, but I didn’t expect she was the true identity of the rock! This Direct was awesome, made me way more excited for this game! The music also sounds terrific, and the DK Rap is back! Hopefully they credit Grant Kirkhope this time?

Some nice free updates here, most games getting both resolution and frame rate improvements. Notable though, is that for Link’s Awakening and Echoes of Wisdom, they only mention better res/visuals. For other games they specifically mention frame rate enhancements.

This is cool…but still waiting on the new game soundtrack for this week. Last week they did it on Wednesday—I guess we can’t predict the day of the week anymore? Hopefully something today.
