v quick visit to Lin Dyke / Fairburn Ings. Hobby perched, Cattle Egrets close by and then some Raven landed as I was leaving

Lots of birds between Saltholme & NthGare. Including a Sprawk grabbing a wader! Pleased with finding 2LittleStints at SeatonSnook + always good to see CurlewSand. 3WaterRails+Wood+Green Sand +many others. Always great friendly knowledgable birders around Cleveland way too. @teesbirds.bsky.social

One of those times you hope for when birding. Within 5 mins... Refound the Pectoral Sandpiper at Swilly 16.30. Two Hobby fly overhead, as I turn the corner a Bittern stood on the path. Then 2 greenshank, 6 blackwits, 6 snipe plus Curlew in the mud. Beardies calling nearbye! Not too shabby.

Incredible array of birds at Beacon Ponds today. The curlew and white rumped sandpiper were the highlights. Marsh harrier over.

I cant remember seeing a little grebe stood up out of water before. Also 2 Egyptian Goose, Wood Sand, Green Sand, Turnstone, LRP, BNG, Garganey, Bearded Tit, etc at Swilly today

Cracking trip around South Gare today with very active 9 Arctic Skua all over the area. Had Common, Little, Sandwich, Arctic and Roseate Tern. Merlin app thought Caspian Tern too but I think not! :) Nice to see Knott too as inland birder.

Local patch birding Haverah Park today. Whinchats still about with a Whitethroat, Juv peregrine looking v white, crossbills, etc

Green sandpiper and Ringed Teal at RCW plus White-Tailed Eagle and Hawaiian Goose at Blakey Ridge. Quite the mix :)

Very quick visit to Fairburn Ings for 10 mins on the way home. Two Spoonbills dropped in front as I arrived, quickly followed by a Whimbrel and 3 common terns. Great, Little and Cattle egret present and a Hobby nearby

Went for the Garganey at Staveley and found a bonus Whimbrel. LRP also present

Headed to the River Swale in North Yorkshire for plenty of Yellow Wags and a Corn Bunting or two, with lots of Sand Martin and a Goosander. Thanks to James R for the map :)

After a smashing day at Nosterfield finished off with a evening walk around Stainburn for Tree pipits.

Seven year ticks at North Gare, ZWR and Saltholme today: grasshopper warbler x 5 hooded crow little tern x 6 grey plover common tern spotted redshank sedge warbler smashing place except the free range angry dogs at North Gare. Owners not in control and unapologetic to say the least. :(
