It looks like the shutdown will be ending sooner rather than later. Some people (not those impacted by SNAP lapsing) might feel that not much changed when the govt shut down. That's largely because so much of the Federal workforce kept working, just not getting paid. (We will get paid)

Oliver the cat, btw, has managed to get himself locked in the master bedroom closet today AND locked in the laundry room today. I'm just going to glue him to me so that won't happen again. (Nothing bad can happen from this.)
