I wrote up my new framework for entry points into how I work with AI tools: two axes (how synchronous + what the artifact is), four tools, one clear entry point per working mode.

I've been using AI tools across Telegram, GitHub issues, Raycast, Claude Desktop, Claude Code CLI, and more. Each feels fine in isolation. But together it's too many entry points. I sat down to map out a better working model and ended up with a framework that's been working.

We made builds on Netlify a lot faster. Over the last year we've been building our own MicroVM based compute platform. It first went into production as our sandbox infrastructure for Agent Runners. Now it's live for our build system, and the effect is dramatic. www.netlify.com/blog/your-bu...

Found a little time to edit some photos from late last year. I've been using @unsplash.com for web projects for years. Last year, I decided to properly contribute. I was just shy of adding 100 photos in 2025, which helped me find the photography spark again. Aiming to do even more this year! 📸

@raycast.com wrapped is such a delightful moment that reminds me it's one of those tools that is just quietly always there. It's the foundation for how I move around the computer and get things done quickly.

I found this link via *The Index* which is one of a very small number of newsletters that I read almost every time. I find something refreshing and enjoyable in each collection. Highly recommend subscribing!

This is also a good opportunity to note that you also don't need to use images in your blog posts at all, especially if they have nothing to do with the material you're presenting. I've used abstract graphics that get automatically generated with the title when I publish a new post.

This is a cool idea! Can already think of many ways to make this useful, particularly through the use of making notifications actionable via links. I like reminders for simple things where I need to do something physical (eg: water the plants), but it doesn't work well for tying directly to a URL.

I find myself rarely using the *go-to-line* feature in VS Code (fork), but I use the Jumpy extension constantly. Love being able to move around the editor without leaving the keyboard or learning vim. 😅

Using the @astro.build CLI is a delightful experience. I tend to spin up new example sites regularly, and I've found that I follow the same few steps every time, starting with the minimal framework template. What steps do you take when you kick off new projects?

File-based routing has its benefits, but one of the major tradeoffs is how easy it becomes to introduce broken links. On most projects with more than a few pages, I consolidate routes into a source of truth. I've found that this works with most frameworks lacking an opinion on the subject.

Most frameworks don't tell you what to do with constants, content, and configuration. It's easy to do what's easy. It's (usually) better to build a system to handle scenarios you'll encounter in most projects.

Wow! I have cold sweats when thinking about my Storybook experiences between 2017-2020. v9 looks like a whole new ballgame, not the tool I left behind.

I (finally) built a little example and wrote the post. I left most of the spice in a related post and focused this one on how you don't need more that 11ty and Netlify primitives to build a full-stack application.

Super cool to see "Notion as a CMS" become an @11ty.dev plugin. It reminds me of the prototype I built a few years ago — a opinionated system that uses callouts to add custom components to a page.

Some thoughts on why we don't need to be classifying frameworks as "full-stack" or not. The capabilities of a framework in production often have very little to do with (what we perceive as) the framework itself.
