Is being exhausted all the time a normal side effect of going sober? I feel like no matter how much sleep I get, I’m still fatigued constantly.

I’m now 2 weeks sober!! I think the last time I was sober for this long was about 3 years ago. My goal now is to make it at least until Thanksgiving break, and then we’ll see where it goes from there! ☺️

This might sound weird, but one of my biggest pet peeves as a teacher is seeing parents carry their kid’s backpack for them, especially if they’re in 1st grade or older. That one small thing is their first taste of responsibility, & you’re depriving them of it. Drives me nuts.

Thanks for the good thoughts, y’all. Things seem to be looking up. Mom is at home resting her shoulder & Dad is still at the hospital high as a kite on pain meds, so he’s feeling great. 😅 He had an MRI done yesterday, so hopefully they’ll figure out what’s wrong with his back.

Now my mom is at the hospital with a dislocated shoulder. Jesus Christ, universe. My parents are good, sweet people. What the fuck did they do to deserve all of this?

Melatonin dreams are absolutely wild, y’all. Who the hell is Ronnie and how exactly did I end up pregnant with his baby?

I’m so fucking stressed out right now. I’m trying really hard not to spiral but it’s not easy. Thank god I have an event keeping me late at work or I would definitely be caving and getting high tonight.

Could use some good thoughts again. My dad’s now in the hospital for an issue with his back that they can’t seem to figure out. 😢

Sobriety day 3- actually feeling pretty good today. Last night I finished a script, made progress on my next video essay, and got a full night of sleep rather than getting high and passing out on the couch like I normally do. I’m feeling pretty positive after all of that.

By the way, I have no idea if this is going to be a permanent sobriety thing. I just know that I’ve let taking edibles kind of consume my life for the last 4 years due to anxiety, boredom, & loneliness, & I just don’t want to constantly be so dependent on them anymore.

Sobriety Day 2- still not feeling so hot. I keep trying to come up with ideas for fun things to keep myself busy, but all I really feel like doing is sleeping.

Sobriety is rough, man. Day one and I’m already ready to throw in the towel. 😔
