I'm so grateful to announce that this has been the biggest year ever for my crochet sales! 🥹🎉 I'm saving up for a wireless label printer bc currently I email the label to my sister, who has a wired printer that only connects to software on her laptop. A new printer would speed things up so much!

Thank you all for the kind words and shares yesterday, I got about $50 in tips total (across all of my platforms, no online sales) which helped us get dinner, so that meant a lot to us 🫶🏾🫂 We wrote a strongly worded post on the local vendor Facebook group, and sent an even stronger worded email 🧚🏽‍♀️

The small bright side is I sold a few small things, altogether we made just a little over $150 today which means we barely made $100 in profit for the weekend after subtracting the $150 fee Sadly we were one of the few out of 30 talented vendors who even made $150 in 12 total hours Back to work 🤷🏾‍♀️

FINALLY HOME and I haven’t even taken my shoes off when Ding dong! A fucking Latter Day SAINT WHO DIDN’T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER SIX TIMES IN A ROW it literally took all my strength to stay polite, I told him at least twice we had a long day and weren’t interested This day, y’all… 💀

This is egregious, but all too common and why we vendors struggle to turn a profit. Sharing what your friends are doing and supporting them is so important, especially on days like this where our event planners fail us. Please send to help make up for this loss in time, investment, and energy.

$150 for the event by the way, upfront! And I paid it myself right before rent was due, it actually made things rough for a couple of weeks We’ve made only $100 today, yesterday we made $90 which puts our profit at $40 so far for BOTH days ($190-150=$40) 2 hours left!

Well we found out that the organizer didn’t spend a dime on advertising…and had the nerve to say “sometimes that’s just how it goes” when another artist called her on it Yeah I’m furious - and because we haven’t made hardly any profits I have to get right back to work tomorrow instead of resting
