Community. The thing holding me together lately. I painted the illustration during Covid lockdown, when neighbors would talk over fences and across balconies. I am grateful for all the amazing people in my life and for being able to meet in person! #kidlit (how to tag without using up characters?)

Having reread my favorite novel of 2022, I feel compelled to share this irrefutable fact — there aren't that many perfect things in this world, but When Women Were Dragons by @kellybarnhill.bsky.social is one of them. I am once again in awe of this beautiful book. If you've yet to read it, you must.
