Read, travel, dance. UK based but often somewhere else.
Apparently I read 42 books last year. That’s not bad. Starting 2026 as I mean to go on.

I’ve been absolutely blown away by my 2025 trips. It never ceases to amaze me how the world can be so incredibly varied and yet the people remain so consistently kind wherever I go. Book the trip.

Daylight saving times should be abolished. We are no longer living in the 19th century, we can do without. It'll be great for mental health, and people hating early darkness during the evening. BST timezone should be permanent

There are a lot of things about Brexit that make me mad but none more so than the horribly long lines at passport control in countries we used to wander freely through.

At this point I’m using BlueSky as a record of books I’ve read. Which will also be useful to work out how many audible credits I need to buy next year so I don’t keep running out.

Wanted an easy read, some light relief. So obviously chose a book about war. I’m an idiot.

Really should sort out my Audible subscription. I never have enough credits. But in this instance it’s not a bad thing. This one is not bad at all.

The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek was one of the best books I’ve read for a long time. So imagine my happiness when I discovered there’s a sequel. It doesn’t take much to make me happy.

If an airline insists on printing boarding passes they should have to print them the same size as passports. That little overhang when you put the boarding pass in your passport is really annoying.

I always like to read books set in the places I’m travelling to. So this just had to be done. The first of a few I’ve got lined up.

Bought four books today. It didn’t occur to me that I’d have to choose between them as to which one I read first. This one won. I like the magpie on the cover.
