We had some super-close lightning strikes from a pop up storm yesterday and burned out 6 Ethernet surge suppressors between the house and our WFH offices/my work lab. Winding down a frantic monochrome Monday. We survived. There are areas with evacuations and flooding/damage all around us but no known loss of life so that’s good.

I was productive today and mixed up container soil to plant the Japanese maple and Flying Dragon trees I’ve held captive in their nursery pots far too long. Excuse the background mess. There’s still lots of garden construction slowly happening. Pix of all that later.

Oh mah lawud I’ve done something terrible. I improved the pineapple upside down cake cocktail. 2.5 oz cake/caramel flavored vodka each 2 oz frangelico 6 oz pineapple juice Ice in shaker, add above, mix. Strain to glasses (2 martinis but I’m all masc 🍆 and used 1 big honkin’ mug). Add grenadine. 🍻
