The No Kings protest rally at Utah’s State Capitol today was nothing short of spectacular! A sea of faces and American flags made me feel so proud to be an American!

This is wishing all my friends a prosperous, golden day.

I want to share my good news. At 71 years old, I have just accepted employment with the Salt Lake City School District to teach school! I’ve always wanted to teach, and finally that opportunity came! I’m going to be a schoolmarm.

It was a tsunami of human faces, flags, and voices in SLC Ut this evening. When the crowd started chanting “immigrants built this nation,” I lost it and started to weep. We are all immigrants and that cannot ever be denied!

2/2 and it is, again, the American people! We are rising in numbers to big to ignore! We are fierce and formidable, and we will, within time, wrest our democracy from the jaws of tyranny and criminality! We will succeed against the abomination of the Trump reign! We will not be destroyed.

Early this morning out on my daily walk, I noticed this tree. I crawled into and under it. Once inside, I felt as if I were in a botanical cathedral. It was strangely spiritual.

Tonight I thought of the Statue of Liberty and all it use to represent. What happened to these heart wrenching words that one time were true. "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” We are becoming the “huddled masses.”
