My daughter is playing in the championship game for her volleyball league tonight and it’s scaring me a little how her dad and I are turning into sports parents. 💀 Last night we were telling her that running into the fans in seats to save a ball is a feature, not a bug.

I’m currently adding comments to code I should’ve already added comments to so that I don’t have to re-learn what I did every time more than a day goes by between when I work on my project. The fact that I’m doing this instead of making a light up Christmas tree in excel is highly offensive.

She never threw up so she’s currently undergoing an endoscopy to see if they can pull the yarn out. The risk of it getting caught and her needing surgery was worth the cost of the endoscopy.

My cat Uzi ate a fairly long piece of yarn and is at urgent care right now where they’re inducing vomiting. I’m freaking out. 😭😭😭

I got myself a new iPad because my computer is older than my 8 year old. Also finally had some time to work on stats again for the first time in approximately a million years. For the first time to date, Gonzo went an entire month (November) without a single victim crimb! Unprecedented!

I don’t remember exactly what size my engagement ring was in 2021, but I know it was larger than an 8 and maybe as big as a 9. I went to get one of my rings sized down last night and I wear a 5.75 now. It’s seriously crazy.

Did Etsy change their shipping policy or something? Because I placed an order for two items and both of them shipped the same day the label was printed. That has never happened before!

It’s actually really inconvenient for my life that everyone in America is asleep when I have approximately one million pictures to send them.

I booked my train tickets at way too fucking late at night and didn’t realize I stupidly overpaid for the express train than that is a faster route but only runs every half hour. It’s also much colder than reasonable in the train station but at least I look cute!

The most stressful minute of my life was when I turned my phone off airplane mode and it didn’t connect to the cellular network. Anywho, restarted and all is well. Back in my favorite city in the world and get to see my friend who I haven’t seen in 12 years today!

I woke up just about 6 hours ago. Anyone want to guess how many times I’ve confirmed I have my passport with me? Full disclosure: I did sleep for the bulk of my 1 hour flight to Chicago.

Started working on my newest project which requires knitting in the round. The last time I attempted that, it was an unmitigated disaster. Tonight? Flawless. Super pumped! Need a project to work on for my layover on Friday though, cause I don’t think this is going to last the whole time.

Time is funny. Today a picture came across my Memories that causes a flashback every time. It was the worst day of my life to that point. I had no idea how much worse it would get - or how much better the good could be. I thought I had it all and my world had ended. If I only knew.

I don’t know how I ended up with a ton of people who don’t know me at all reading this, but I’d like to introduce you to hyperbole. I have: 2 mixer bowls, 5 bowls with lids I bought as a set, the kitchenaid spiralizer, a food processor, and a normal amount of spatulas. HYPERBOLE. NOT HOARDING.

Google Chrome added a feature where you can view two websites in one tab and it’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me but my friend just sent me a selfie of her with Lance Bass who’s on the cruise she’s on so I guess I need to re-evaluate my life.

Update: my dad definitely would have loved it but also this is maybe the best food that has ever existed. Oh my god. If I tried my baking, I would marry me for that reason alone.

From pouring the sugar into the pan for the salted caramel to taking 5 pies out of the oven, I will have spent about 4 hours baking tonight. Fortunately I own every kitchen gadget known to man and approximately 11,000 bowls and spoons/spatulas so the process was relatively easy.

The maintenance guy told me to make a donation to a local food bank instead of paying the lockout fee. I get a double discount at my grocery store job through today so I’m going to buy their urgent needs because my money will go further than theirs.
