Ok, this week I have a #CrossStitch #WipWednesday, doing it bit by bit and enjoying it.

Loooong day at work today. Still technically on reduced hours until end of this month, but did over 10 hours. Mostly spent working on fixing cell modems where a firmware update disabled debug functionality. Anyway, going to have half hour on this #CrossStitch

Also, I think I am past the withdrawal part of the duloxetine cessation. Been feeling in the up and actually been busy over the weekend. Been feeling very creative over the last few days.

Also did a bit on my paths to ribbons thingy. Still work in progress but enjoying stuff like this. The end goal is to draw the initial paths with markers on paper, scan and then process.

I thought it was too dark, but once dried it came out nice. #CrossStitch

This is a short bit of floss I tested on, sitting in cold water now. Looks like it is not colour fast. Wonder if I can add a mordant to it? #CrossStitch #FlossDying

This will be very bright in a dark room. A lot easier than making my own charge controller and led driver.

Think I used too much alcohol, but we will see.

Decided to mess around with the glowsticks I was making. I was designing battery holders, chargers etc. realised today I could possibly modify a rechargeable flashlight. This is a UV flashlight with a tube printed from fluorescent filament. Only took me 15 mins….

See how the purple doesn’t glow under UV? Are there any purple threads that do? I know purple isn’t a single wavelength but instead a mix of wavelengths, but I would love it if there was a thread I could use that did fluoresce. #CrossStitch

Busy day working on Stitch Crit. Making the OXS side of things fully compliant, adding some more keyboard shortcuts, and refactored the partial stitch model to allow multiple partials in a single cell. Picture attached just because. #CrossStitch

So even though the OXS format has a vague definition, some implementations are just weird.

This withdrawal from my diverticula medication is driving me a bit loopy. Who ever thought I would get angry about the number 51? I mean, it’s sat there in the queue hoping to get into the exclusive prime club, trying to not draw attention to itself in case anyone notices it has factors of 3 and 17.

I hope there is plenty of gold blend wherever we go.

Adding an SVG mode onto my trippy ribbons generator. It uses the paths and draws ribbons along the paths including noise and oscillations. Still plenty of work to do, but not too bad so far.

Not much of a #WIPWednesday today. I’m feeling sorry for myself because I am not feeling well, it’s to do with medication for diverticular disease and will probably last a week or so. Anyway, here is my current #CrossStitch WiP

Today has been *very* hot for us, hottest day in May on record. Now sat on the bed with the windows open, a thunderstorm rumbling in the background and some light rain. The fan is making my floss fly away though.

One of the things with having an over analytical, autistic brain is doing something once and then completely going down a rabbit hole. The psychedelic ribbons thing could be described mathematically so can I make something to generate them and play with the input parameters? Apparently I will anyway

Just had a well-timed "here we go" while pulling away from a roundabout, while listening to Get Boy Hey Girl by the Chemical Brothers. Satisfying.

Done a bit on this today whilst resting on the sofa, I’m fairly happy with it but still learning as I go. The yellow and light green are very close in tone, so loses a bit when they are next to each other. #CrossStitch

Image quantisation, dominant pixel vs averaging. Both have their advantages, but I think dominant pixel is better for #CrossStitch

Ffs, having a real bad day with my chronic pain. It’s radiating into my hip and back, so probably some inflammation. I wish I could control it better. 🙁
