Don't buy 'curiosities' made of dead bats! Online stores including Amazon and Google shop are still openly selling these items, a year after we highlighted the problem. Trade in Endangered species needs to stop.

🦇The National Bat Helpline is officially in its peak season and, therefore, operating an Out of Hours service for emergency bat care and crime calls only. As well as our normal weekday service, our volunteers will also answer calls from 6pm - 10pm and from 10am-10pm on weekends and bank holidays.

Last nights bat survey which was a lovely peaceful evening surveying a very old house and steading built in the 1660s. Two common pipistrelles were foraging round this building, occasionally meeting in the middle and chasing each other furiously 😀

I don't think the government has any idea how much of a political liability this is. When people twig what the Planning and Infrastructure Bill means - that our precious wild places will have no meaningful protection against whatever a corporation wants to do - it'll be felt as a monstrous betrayal.
