It's our town festival weekend! Friday night's celebration is always food, featured music acts, hillside sing-along & fiery displays (handled by our local volunteer rescue team). Each part of town is designated a certain color, so the crowds come dressed to represent.

There's an Icelandic brand of hair/skincare that I like - and like to support when I can - but it's a bit pricey. After deliberation, I splurged on some hand soap (feeling mildly queasy about using it up). But I just went to get a new bottle and it's practically DOUBLED in price - in a year! Nope.

Y'day I opened my apartment door to find a young kitten next to the elevator. I presume it's a neighbor's. I was on my way to an appointment & couldn't stay. We posted a note in the building FB group & when I got back, kitten was gone. Now I'm sad each time I open the door & there's no kitten.
