Day 5 out of 7 and my last shoot day of the year!! It was a perfect day! Every time I'm on set with this group, we not only do damn good work but there are no egos; we have fun and share the same goal…creating a safe space for the creatives and also the talent on our sets!

Day 4 of 7! I love telling stories in my city!! Keeping our focus on Kensington, we went from our Old Lady Gang to Kensington Soccer Club 🎬⚽ They are an inspiring non-profit doing phenomenal work with the youth, and we can't wait to share their story!

Being a freelancer is exhausting! You’re either stressed because you’re drowning in work or stressed because you don't have any work!

I can count on one hand how many times I’ve been surprised because it’s VERY hard to surprise me. In a room full of my favorite people my husband surprised me with a K KNOX PRODUCTION VARSITY JACKET that my close friend Ayasa designed! Blessed to have someone who supports my dreams 🥹

Directing this important documentary about my ancestors was an honor, a privilege, and a teaching moment. The things I learned through my research and the interviews shocked me! For example, cemeteries in Delaware were segregated until 1984. That’s only FORTY YEARS AGO!

Wait….the Stanford prison experiment was all a LIE?!? This docu-series is crazy!

PRODUCER OF THE YEAR!!! SAY WHAT!! Thank you Shorty Awards for this INCREDIBLE HONOR! Storytelling is my PASSION so to WIN in that category made my night! We also took home Gold in Public Safety, Silver in Feature Film, Bronze in Call To Action, and THREE Audience Choice Awards!

This makes me SO EXCITED!!! There is nothing like walking through the aisles looking for the perfect book, and then when you find it, you can't wait to go home, feel the pages, and go on a new adventure ✨
