I like the tackling and passing bits of rugby but I do not understand the tactics bits of it which means one team is better than the other one.

Hearing the Libero boys chat absolute bollocks about Spurs feels like seeing Anthony Bourdain visiting London. Makes you distrust how impressed you were by the previous episodes.

āSpurs would be better off getting relegated and learning a lessonā is such a daft take. Like if somebody is a bad driver and they need to have a rude awakening you donāt hope they actually have a crash to learn that lesson.

Frank keeps on losing but with just enough extenuating circumstances that make that loss or poor draw not sackable from the boardās perspective. Another one of those today but is there cumulatively a run of results that gets him sacked or do we have to get properly drubbed before they do it.

Frankās comments on Romero being here next year makes me think heās been told he wonāt be here next year. His answer was very not my circus, not my monkeys.

If you are Romero or VDV then I think youāre right to think that any reassurances from the club that we are serious are right to be distrusted. This is not a club for a top player to spend their best years the way itās currently run.

On the JoĆ£o Palhinha culture war my head is definitely on the side that heās a terrible fit for what we need and his passing in midfield has made us worse. But in my heart - I just really like him. Should we keep him next year? Probably not. Would I still do it? Probably yes.

I obviously think Thomas Frank is a terrible manager for Spurs. But, for whatever reason, heās got decent results in Europe. Iād probably let him manage that game and be lining up the interim option to start after we lose the following weekend.

I think leadership is useful if youāve got a good team of talented young bunch of players than just needs some guidance in key moments. I donāt think you can lead shite not to be shite so weāre trying to solve the wrong problem at the wrong time:

Quite funny to see the divide between the yanks who adamantly think Pochettino would be an unmitigated and illogical disaster versus the English pashun merchants just waiting for a chance to dust off a rendition of Heās Magic.

Does concern me that if Vinai worked with Arteta and concluded the only reason Arsenal got good was time (and money). Like, heās a loathsome prick but heās quite clearly a talented manager. And Arsenal werenāt as shit either in style or results as Frank currently has us playing.

Only reason Iām not worried about West Ham catching us is that they wonāt get to play a team as pitiful as Thomas Frankās Tottenham Hotspur again this season.

Is kind of weird that the top three divisions of English football are called the Premier League, Championship and League One. Like you could put those in any order and it would be believable.

Gallagher will come in and straight away be our best midfielder. Heās also a better passer than I think many are giving credit for. Still not exactly what the squad needs but I donāt hate it. Also a former favourite of a certain magic Argentinian.

With this season basically a write off already Iād use this window to sign players from Europe who are good but need an adjustment period to the physicality of the league.

I know itās basic but between Son, Brennan, Deki, Madders and Solanke weāve lost a lot of goals from last season and the players weāve signed to replace them are hardly notable bagsmen.

Spurs have the worst PL home record of any ever present side in the premier league since Nov 2024 (Sky Sports) Spurs have only 17 home points in 13 months Not only is this the worst record of any ever present side itās actually worse than newly promoted Sunderland who have 18 points in 8 games

Not to relitigate last season in terms of results but I do wonder how well the players respond to changing from a manager with almost baffling self belief, a very specific attacking ideology and who clearly held Tottenham as a club in high self esteem to the complete switch to pragmatism.

The only thing I can see Frank is trying to get them to do is to try the bait the press artificial transition but then a) arenāt coached into the automations deep so itās too risky b) donāt actually create those transitions once we have baited the press and c) donāt have a plan when we concede

Thereās been basically nothing positive about our performances in the league recently so even though yesterday was definitely not good overall at least there was some decent performances in there and a bit of fight. Does feel like a massive game in setting the tone going forward against Brentford.

Not saying Xavi is a better player than Eze but I do think if youād swapped the transfers then Eze at Spurs this season would have been a frustrated figure on the periphery of games attempting almost impossible passes and overly ambitious shots and Xavi would have been quite good at Arsenal.

I do think Frankās out of his depth and the points on the board have masked how badly weāve played for most of this season but I also donāt see what we do with this squad. Itās not just that itās not good enough itās that weāve loaded up in midfield and attack in players who are just too similar.
