Man, decided to get back into PC gaming. Even though I love my little Mac Cube, it can’t handle intensive games. Christmas is coming early, ordered parts to build a gaming system. I can’t get over the prices of graphics cards. A NVIDIA rtx 5080 is almost $1500 and the 5090 is close to $3000.

I needed to simply edit a pdf on my Mac. All the free editors are not that great. My options are pdfexpert and adobe. Both of which are at least $80. FML

There are days that running a bar really saps my energy. But then I realize that I get to work with some amazing people. They may just be bartenders to the public, but they’re actually artists, writers, actors, veterans, carpenters, antique restorers, even a fursuiter.

I have two employees now that call me “Papa” at work. At first I was offended because I ain’t no daddy. Then I realized these two actually gave a shit about me. So do the rest of the staff. It’s a nice feeling to feel wanted, especially at work. I just want a better name that Papa, maybe Doc ;)

Husband is at the bar and I am babysitting the kid. He’s about to have his first piece of heaven.

Some good news today!

I know shit is difficult out there right now but we gotta keep lifting people up. Give people their flowers while they’re still here. We had a regular (another old grumpy veteran, like myself) pass away this week. It feels like the bar lost a part of its soul.

Why do people get all worked up when I don’t let people hug me? I have traumas that make me very uncomfortable hugging someone I don’t know. I’m not insulting the other person, I don’t think anything bad, I just am not comfortable hugging a stranger.

Netflix just gave Gavin Newsom 2 million for the redistricting fight and made a deal with Sesame Street. New episodes will air there and the backlog of old episodes will Be free to watch. Netflix picked a side. I will keep my subscription.

I have problems with loud noises (like fire alarms, ambulance wails, etc) it drives me crazy. But… I love metal. Explain that shit.

Not them removing the cracker and barrel

My dog has a thing with gnawing on my hands. Doesn’t do it to my husband at all. I need to stop this and bitter apple spray is crap. I was told to use hot sauce but what kind? I’m not trying to cause my dog gastric distress, just need him to stop biting my hands. He’s done teething btw.

My dog is so attached to me that he follows me all around the house now. When he finally does lay down I feel so bad, I don’t want to move and have the dog wake from sleep to follow me.

Got to speak to Monica. Talked about my struggle with gender and sexuality. She held my hand and I immediately started crying. I told her “thank you for being a guiding light in a world that feels so dark.”

Got the book signed. Also, tonight the Atlanta Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence made Monica Helms a Saint. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Got a copy of Monica’s book. Gonna try to get it signed.
