To see Hagedorn's book published with the orderly black spine and penguin logo is disorienting. In his introduction, Pat Rosal says, "To read Dogeaters, you've got to have a taste for danger. You've got to love listening to someone who has kissed the devil on the cheek and lived to tell the tale.”
