In Taiwan, members of the publishing sector are not only celebrating the win, but reminding people that gov't-sponsored translation grants were recently targeted by the opposition as "wasteful", and this very writer criticized (by some in the opposition) for being "too political" and "talentless".

The question is always "what if a kid is wrongfully transitioned" and never "what if a trans kid is denied the ability to transition and endures years of excruciating dysphoria and has to have multiple surgeries later in life to fix the issues caused by going through the wrong puberty."

Some academic publishing contract advice: make sure your contract specifies 1. a qualified human copyeditor will copyedit on the MS; 2. a qualified human proofreader will proofread the MS; 3. that production must have a proper system for version control (!).
