The new Sims event is starting today. Make sure to play it without mods and best to start a new game. You can rename your user folder and make one for the events where you have nothing added. The rewards will be added to your account.

Sims Testing Results: It looks like the underlying issue is still there but you can't see the objects. So I do believe they fixed the festivals issue but certain objects from the festival get still added to your apartment - you just can't see them anymore. Hope they can fix the underlying issue too.
