If we want better politics, we need better politicians. People with integrity who act in good faith and put the public ahead of their own power. That kind of leadership feels rare in today’s political environment.

Last Thursday, NH Republicans spent hours debating two transgender bathroom bills addressing a problem that is not actually happening. Bills that will likely lead to lawsuits because they are unenforceable. Then they tabled other bills “to save time.” Granite Staters deserve better priorities.

We are debating the second anti trans bill today. This is why I am a Democrat. We get things wrong sometimes, but we do not systematically dehumanize people. NH faces a housing shortage and soaring energy costs, yet we spend hours targeting trans people. Their priorities are fucked up!
