Every time I watch Orlando I just don't understand why they've stuck with Carter as their center. I guess he's signed at a nice number. But man...you've got two bruising wings who love to score around the rim and have jumpshot questions. Meanwhile your center can't drag anyone out of the paint

The Sixers will cool off from three. Their opponents will heat up. That's inevitable. But they're also likely to get healthier -- in a way that gives them much more space to operate on offense. Merge that with a growing sense of belief and you've got a great recipe.

Grimes didn’t play well individually but going to three guards (with smaller bigs) completely changed the game. Sixers can play bigger once PG is back but three guards is their best look for now. And maybe for good.

Every time the Sixers get in the lane there’s at least two Celtics at the rim. Just impossible to play decent NBA offense with this little spacing.

Sixers got pretty lucky on defense. Celtics shooters were ice cold on some good looks. But the athleticism of this roster really pops. And that’s a refreshing change

I'm relatively bullish on the Sixers. Think 45 wins is very much in reach. But I expect the offense to struggle early on. Without PG and McCain it's hard to construct lineups with even passable levels of shooting and floor spacing. They'll have to win with turnovers, transition points, and defense.

This might be an extreme homer take...but in a world where a young-ish back-end starter like Braun is getting $25 million a year I really struggle to see how a Grimes deal at $15-22 per year wouldn't have trade value. Braun is only a year younger. Is he that much better?

Every time I see Edgecombe it’s the same feeling. Incredible athleticism. Incredible instincts (the timing on his cuts is art). But man I wish his jump shot misses weren’t soooo bricky

Jabari Walker…strong as hell

An example of how Embiid changes everything: He gets the ball in the middle of the floor. The defense swarms. He kicks to Oubre for three. Oubre misses but the defense is so scrambled no one puts a body on Edgecombe. Easy put back . Hard to overstate the gravity of great players in basketball.

Never seen Embiid outlet pass like this. Wonder if it’s just a fluke or a point of emphasis
