Hashicorp did a controversial relicense of some of its OSS. Redhat never did anything like that. Both had great sales to IBM.

With the holiday slowness, I finally have time to fix my borked nix setup! Ever since I upgraded to Sequoia, it's been completely broken. Let's see what happens. So far, both the main installer and determinate nix installer are failing.

Why is mac spotlight so bad? Literally can't reliably find applications that are installed to my Applications folder. Are there better alternatives that anyone would recommend?

re:Invent thoughts: wow so many companies were “AI Native” this whole time? What are the chances?

Genuine question: what is the purpose of a WiFi password at a conference of, say, 60k people? What is the password actually protecting? Why not just open the network up for ease of access? No one is doing sensitive work over bare http anymore.

This is how you know your business has really made it - when your customers pay you so much money, so reliably, that they need to configure their invoices.

Raycast is really good, but I want a fully OSS version of it to lean into it.

Never underestimate your customer's ability to make completely unreasonable requests.

You should just assume that anything you publish online will get scooped up for training AI at this point. Just come to terms with it and act accordingly. Yes, even when the platform promises it won't be, *especially* when that platform is an open & decentralized social network.
