iyaz akhtar. yeah, that one.
pinned post!
Well, I haven't updated this since July 14, 2023 where I wrote I was tired, so here's an update: I'm less tired now, but more frazzled. Physical fitness has changed drastically -- I'm down 40 pounds this year. How're you?

Y'know, reality is absolutely insane right now. Weathering all this is exhausting. So, I have an announcement:

I'm trying yet another thing by depriving myself of something as a challenge. Why the hell do I do this? Hmm... 12 years of Catholic school and born a Muslim. Maybe there's a theme... Nah.

If you're into Android tablets, this is worth a look. If you're not, have a slice of pizza on Wednesday.

Nothing like checking
@nytimes.com
every morning to see how reality is and wondering how long this can go on. Let's see... earthquakes, plane crashes, invasions, heatwave, and Prime Day coming up. (no this isn't a promo).

This is my personal opinion and not that of any companies I may be associated with: If you are set on getting an Android tablet, Samsung and Lenovo make the best ones. They essentially fix most of the shortcomings found in Android as a tablet OS.

Does anyone want to play the role of "iyaz akhtar" next week? The guy currently in the part is just terrible.

I was looking for something to watch on Netflix (for background sound) and saw an interesting premise. My first thought: Is this in English? I tapped through. My second thought: <disappointed> Oh, Mark Wahlberg... </disappointed> I'll find something else.

This morning on a walk, I enjoyed the sky and the tall buildings of NYC. I hardly ever look up since it's so touristy, but it was nice. I need to do more analog things, which flies in the face of my chosen career. Huh.

Considering the Flash can phase through things, could he deliver babies by reaching in and vibrating the child out, or would that lead to shaken baby syndrome? I'm actually asking.

I'd like an omelet with peppers and onions with home fries. Wheat toast. Coffee, non-dairy milk, non-sugar sweetener. Thanks.

I Got to Play the Nintendo Switch 2: Big Screen, High Frame Rates, Finally 4K!
I spent hours with the Switch 2 and its new mouse-enabled Joy-Cons for a chance to play Metroid Prime 4, Super Mario Party Jamboree, and more. Cramped hands be damned, it felt good.

An attempt by senior Trump administration officials to discuss sensitive military plans in the Signal encrypted messaging app turned into a teachable moment in security when one of those officials mistakenly added The Atlantic’s editor in chief to that group chat.

Random intrusive thoughts: Jobs I applied to while unemployed in 2022-2023: - BH Photo description writer: a few interviews and nope. - NYPL: No responses - Climbing gym receptionist: Nope. - AMNH video equipment tech: No responses 🤦 What a depressing time. Self-worth shot to hell. All good now.

Friday, March 7th, we will be moving our picket line AROUND the Financial District, the belly of the beast. We will disrupt business as usual of the rich financiers in their banks of marble, letting Sony and Alamo know that IF WE DON’T GET OUR JOBS BACK, THEN YOU DON’T GET NO PEACE!

Today would have been my dad's 74th birthday. This day/month is always hard for me. He's been gone for 21 years now, but sometimes I still think, "Oh, I should call Dad about this!" Call your parent(s) if you can.

I like being private at times, but sometimes I just want to yell to everyone. Hence, this post. - I DON'T HAVE TO BE WHO I WAS YESTERDAY - TRYING TO IMPROVE IS HARD, BUT WORTH IT - AAAAARRRRGGGHH - THERE'S NO NEED TO INTERACT WITH THOUGHTS - IT'S HARD BEING SOCIAL AND REACHING OUT - I WANT A DONUT

The US DoJ *proposed* that a judge order Google to sell Chrome. “Demand” doesn’t give the right picture and the DoJ can’t “order” anything in this case. The reporting on this has been misleading. The Judge won’t even have a hearing on the proposals until April and Google will appeal.

Hello, social network I don't use very much! I'm tired. I've put in so much work into my mental health with good progress being made over time (10+ years). My physical fitness has been in disarray for the past 5 or 6 years. I wrote more:
