We recently thanked @agwestfc for their generous grant to go to hygiene kits for young people in need, and they also stopped by and toured the Hope Center! Hygiene items are always at the top of our list of needs because these supplies go fast. This community support makes a big difference.

We're hosting a holiday party for our young people to give them the gifts that the community signed up to give them. We posted a call for nacho toppings so we can have a nacho bar at the party and to see people online interacting with that post is just so heartwarming on a Wednesday.

A big thank you to AgWest Farm Credit, who generously awarded us $2,500 for hygiene kits through AgWest Farm Credit’s Rural Community Grant program. #yakima #yakimawa #endyouthhomelessness

Addiction is not a result of poor choices; it is often the result of untreated trauma and using substances is an effort to distract from the pain that's living within. A "rock bottom" isn't necessary for change; human connection, opportunity, patience, and readily available resources are!
